‘HamJambo’ is a Swahili greeting to everybody, and also an invitation to share some of the sounds that help
‘Welcome to Edinburgh’ feel so much like ‘Welcome Home’.

This performances took place on Wednesday the 8th of April in the Area C Coffee House. People could enjoy music
and verse in…

Gaelic – Sam Gillespie

We couldn’t go past this event without exploring this native Scottish tongue. Still understood by well over 50,000 Scots, Gaelic has found a passionate promoter in songwriter and storyteller Sam Gillespie. If you want to know more about him, check out his website here.

Russian – Valeria Efremova

Valeria (AKA Leera) shows off the expressive and dramatic potential of the Russian language with her punchy original songs.

We may live on an island, but we don’t have to be stranded.
